Sai Kung Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground

Introduction

Sai Kung Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground, which was commissioned on 18 October 2002 after redevelopment, is located at Fuk Man Road, Sai Kung (adjacent to Sai Kung Bus Terminus). Organisations are welcome to hire the facilities.

Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground

Introduction

Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground is situated at 109 Po Hong Road, Tseung Kwan O, covering an area of about 6 hectares. Construction works of the sports ground commenced in April 2006 and completed in March 2009. The whole project costs about 4 hundred million Hong Kong dollars. The major facilities of the sports ground include a main sports ground with a fixed spectator stand, a secondary sports ground and other facilities essential for track and field activities and events. The facilities are designed and constructed in accordance with the standards set by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and suitable for holding athletic training and international track and field events. The track and field events of the 5th East Asian Games have been held in this venue in December 2009.

Secondary sports ground
  • 1 IAAF standard four-lane 300-metre all-weather synthetic running track with a 120-metre straight track
  • 1 high jump take-off runway with landing area
  • 1 pole-vault runway and landing area
  • 1 javelin-throw circle
  • 1 long jump and triple jump runway with 2 landing pits
  • 1 hammer and discus cage
  • 2 shot-put throwing areas
  • 1 7-a-side-soccer pitch with floodlights

  • Men's and ladies' Changing rooms and toilets, Light refreshment kiosk, function rooms, meeting rooms, VIP room, interview rooms, media centre, press work area, toilets, changing rooms, referee toilets and changing rooms, physiotherapy rooms, doping control room, first aid room, marshalling rooms, commentator rooms and police command room etc.
