The facilities of Sha Tin District in the list below will be temporarily closed to support the 2025 Legislative Council General Election:

During the closure period, members of the public may use similar sports and recreation facilities at the Heng On Sports Centre, Yuen Wo Road Sports Centre, Mei Lam Sports Centre and Che Kung Temple Sports Centre (except for the Arena) in the same district. Separate announcements will be made if practical conditions necessitate any adjustment to the closure dates. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Yuen Chau Kok Sports Centre, commissioned on 12 December 2016, is located at 35 Ngan Shing Street, Sha Tin and is well-equipped with a wide range of leisure facilities for hiring by individuals and organisations. Various sports and recreation programmes are held at the Sports Centre each month for public participation.

Facilities

  • 1 multi-purpose arena which can be used as 2 basketball courts / 2 volleyball courts / 8 badminton courts
  • 1 table tennis room with 6 table tennis tables
  • 2 indoor bowling green (Total: 4 rinks)
  • 2 multi-purpose activity rooms of 188 m2 and 213 m2 respectively for activities such as yoga or dance(Ancillary facilities: Wall mirrors, dance bars, gymnastic mats and sound equipment.)
  • 1 fitness room of 278 m2
  • 1 children's playroom
  • 1 outdoor sport climbing wall with 4 lanes (only for use by holders of qualifications recognised by the relevant National Sports Association)
  • Men's and ladies' toilets cum changing rooms
  • Baby care room
  • Barrier Free Facilities: Accessible Toilet, Accessible Lift (with Assistive Listening System), Tactile Guide Path, Visual Fire Alarm System, Braille Directory Map/Floor Plan, Assistive Listening System

7am to 11pm daily (except maintenance days)


Maintenance Day

7am to 1pm on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month
(If a maintenance day falls on a public holiday, it will be rescheduled to the next working day.)
