Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme 2026 - Leisure Services Branch


Salary: $11,500 per month

Terms of Appointment:
Interns are normally required to work 44 hours (including meal breaks) per week and may also be required to work outside normal office hours, during weekends or public holidays.  Overtime work, where necessary, will be compensated by time-off in lieu. Depending on the operational needs of the Department, interns may be assigned to perform duties at any of the following venues: Tuen Mun Swimming Pool, Tuen Mun North West Swimming Pool, Tuen Mun Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground, or Tuen Mun Beach(es).

How to Apply:
a. All applicants should submit the completed Application Form with copies of (i) documentary proof of their student status (including certifying that the candidate is not currently studying in or have just completed his/her final year of study before the commencement of the internship period or providing his/ her expected graduation date); and (ii) academic transcripts or relevant certificates. Those who do not provide copies of (i) and (ii), or not clear from the statements that applicants have met the entry requirements for post applied for, may NOT be considered.
 
b. Hong Kong students studying in local post-secondary institutions should submit the completed Application Form together with the copies of the supporting documents mentioned in (a) through the Student Affairs Offices/ Career Centres of their respective institutions.  Applicants are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective institutions.  Direct applications submitted to the Appointments and Establishment Unit, will NOT be considered.
 
c. Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should download the application form from the website of the Civil Service Bureau(http://www.csb.gov.hk/english/admin/appoint/782.html). Completed application forms together with copies of the supporting documents mentioned in (a) should reach the contact address below in person or by post (the post mark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of application) on or before the closing date for application, or by e-mail to lsaet1@lcsd.gov.hk on or before 6:00 p.m. (Hong Kong time) on the closing date for application.  For applications submitted in person or by post, please specify on the envelope “Application for Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme – Leisure Services Branch”, and ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage is affixed before posting so as to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application.  Any underpaid mail items will be returned or disposed of by the Hongkong Post. Applicants will bear any consequences arising from paying insufficient postage.  For applications submitted by e-mail, “Application for Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme – Leisure Services Branch” should also be specified in the e-mail subject. Applicants should indicate clearly in the application the post applied for. Applications which are incomplete, late or submitted by means other than those mentioned above, not duly signed, or not made in the prescribed form will NOT be considered.  
 
d. Applicants who are not invited (by email or post) for selection interview within four to six weeks from the closing date for application may assume that their applications are unsuccessful. Eligible applicants may be required to attend a selection interview. NO alternative arrangements will be made for those who fail to attend the selection interview (if any) and their applications will NOT be further processed. 
 
e. Successful applicants are required to report for duty as scheduled to effect the appointment.  NO allowance will be given to appointees studying outside Hong Kong to cover their travelling expenses to and from Hong Kong or their subsistence during their stay in Hong Kong.
