Description

Bruce Lee is one of the most important actors in history – not just of Hong Kong but in fact of the world. His raw, primal power and explosive, ferocious presence make such usual thespian attributes as the ability to express difficult emotions or the capacity for delivering compelling drama lose significance. The Way of the Dragon is the only film directed by Lee, expanding on the themes and concerns of his earlier kung-fu flicks, such as the code of humility and a sense of national pride tinted with racial anger. Lee takes the action to Italy this time with the story culminating in a showdown at the Coliseum. Its iconic, symbolic visage adds a mythic dimension that has only grown more pronounced over the years.
