Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre Venue Partnership Scheme: Drip Music Series Concert: Ari Hoenig Trio — Tivon Pennicott & Ben Tiberio

Description

Drip Music is proud to present the virtuosic New York jazz master, Ari Hoenig, along with his stellar trio for an unforgettable evening of cutting-edge jazz in Hong Kong!

Widely recognised as a rhythm genius and a pioneer of "melodic drumming", Ari Hoenig has redefined the role of the drum set in modern music. Renowned for his ability to play recognisable melodies and intricate pitches directly on the drums, Hoenig combines hypnotic rhythmic complexity with deep emotional expression, creating an exhilarating sensory experience for every listener.

For this highly anticipated performance, Hoenig is joined by two of today's finest jazz innovators: Grammy-winning saxophonist Tivon Pennicott, whose lyrical tone and fiery improvisation seamlessly complement the group's sonic landscape, and acclaimed NYC bassist Ben Tiberio, providing a deep, solid groove and rich dynamic interaction.

Expect an evening of breathless interplay, relentless rhythm, and brilliant melodic conversation from three of the sharpest minds in contemporary jazz.
