Programme Title

Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre Venue Partnership Scheme: Drip Music Series Masterclass: Espen Eriksen Trio

Description

An exclusive masterclass with the Espen Eriksen Trio before their concert in Hong Kong! Known for their "less is more" philosophy and unspoken musical connection, the trio will share insights into how they developed one of the most recognisable group sounds in European jazz.

During this interactive session, the band will discuss and demonstrate key aspects of their signature style, including techniques for bringing out the best in melodies, mastering the art and use of dynamics, and finding individual’s unique role and voice when playing with others.

This masterclass offers a rare look into the creative process of top-tier artists at the height of their craft for music students, musicians, or avid jazz listeners.
