Victoria Park Arts Corner to be launched
****************************************

A new round of the Arts Corner at Victoria Park will be launched tomorrow (April 4) and visitors are welcome from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays. Admission is free.

Organised by Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Arts Corner aims at providing cultural activities for the public during leisure time and creating a relaxed environment for art appreciation.

In the ninth phase of the Arts Corner at Victoria Park, there will be 36 stalls set up at South Pavilion Plaza for dough models, paper craftworks, carving works, accessories, cloth artworks and clay works. Services to be provided by arts service stalls include photography, painting and sketching or caricaturing.

The Arts Corner will run until January 18, 2009. It will be suspended when major events are held at the park.

Similar events are being held at three other venues. The Arts Fun Fair at Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III) will run until May 25, 2008, and September 28, 2008, respectively. They are held from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays. The Arts Corner at Hong Kong Park is staged from noon to 6pm every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday until December 31, 2008. Admission is free.
