Proposals invited for Venue Partnership Scheme
**********************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting local performing arts groups and organisations to submit proposals for "Venue Partnership Scheme" to be introduced at their performing arts venues. The deadline for submissions is 5.30pm on August 24.

The scheme aims to foster a partnership between the performing arts venues and performing arts groups/organisations with the objectives of building up the artistic image and character of the venue, enlarging the audience base, optimising usage of facilities, developing venue-based marketing strategies, facilitating solicitation of corporate/private sponsorship and encouraging community involvement in the development of the arts.

The scheme will be introduced to 11 performing arts venues - Hong Kong City Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Kwai Tsing Theatre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, North District Town Hall, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, Sha Tin Town Hall, Sheung Wan Civic Centre, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, Tuen Mun Town Hall and Yuen Long Theatre.

For details, please refer to the Invitation for Proposals document available at all Leisure and Cultural Services Department performing arts venues. It can also be downloaded from the website: http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/vps .

A briefing session to explain the details and requirements of the scheme will be held at 3pm on July 10 (Tuesday) at Function Room 2, Level 4, Administration Building of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Registration can be made by phone at 2601 8706 or by fax at 2698 5412 or via email mpoffice@lcsd.gov.hk on or before July 9.
