Red flags lowered at eight beaches in Southern District

Please broadcast the following as soon as possible and repeat it at regular intervals:

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department says that the red flags hoisted at Repulse Bay Beach, Deep Water Bay Beach, Shek O Beach, Stanley Main Beach, Middle Bay Beach, South Bay Beach, Chung Hom Kok Beach and Big Wave Bay Beach in Southern District have been lowered.

The red flags were hoisted at the beaches after a red tide was found.

Meanwhile, as influenced by red tide, red flags are hoisted at the following beaches. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beaches.

Southern District
St. Stephen's Beach and Turtle Cove Beach

Tuen Mun District
Cafeteria Old Beach, Cafeteria New Beach, Golden Beach, Butterfly Beach, Kadoorie Beach and Castle Peak Beach

Islands District
Hung Shing Yeh Beach

Tsuen Wan District
Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach
