Applications sought for Community Cultural Ambassador scheme

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting applications for "2007-08 Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme", which aims to encourage and collaborate with worthy artists and arts groups to bring the arts to the community.

Applicant should be a registered local non-profit-making performing arts group or an ensemble of artists which, in the past three years, had been active in a specific art form in Hong Kong, with proven experience and artistic merit in public performances. The proposal should cover one or more performing art forms including opera/operatic singing, dance, music, theatrical arts (including drama, mime, magic, puppetry) and multi arts. Proposed project may include one or a combination of the following types of activities: performances, workshops, lectures, demonstration or episodic performances and exhibitions, with creativity.

Application forms and detailed information of the scheme are available at http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/cp , and can be obtained:

By mail or in person: Audience Building Office at Podium, Administration Building, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (during office hours); or by fax at 2721 2019.

Completed application form should be submitted with supporting information to the Audience Building Office not later than 5.30pm on Friday, May 11, 2007. Please mark "2007/08 Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme" on the envelope.
