Piano works showcased in Kwai Tsing Theatre 'Weekend Foyer Concerts'
*****************************************************

A series of six concerts featuring a wide range of repertoires including piano solo, piano trios, strings, wind and vocal performances will be staged at the foyer of Kwai Tsing Theatre for three weekends starting this Saturday (October 7).

Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the "Weekend Foyer Concerts" will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays from October 7-22. Admission is free.

The concerts on October 7, 8, 21 and 22 will be performed by the Music Section of the Department of Creative Arts and Physical Education, the Hong Kong Institute of Education. Their tutors and students will share with audiences their knowledge on different music styles and their own works including piano solo pieces by Dr Lai Sheung Ping, an award-winning piano trio as well as a piano and handbell composition.

On October 14 and 15, Denis Ng, a devoted local music composer who launched his first album in 2004, and his friends - Karen and aniDa - will bring to audiences two concerts featuring pop songs and Denis' original creations.

Arts installations of Frankie Leung and Patrick Yiu, students of the Hong Kong Institute of Education will be displayed simultaneously with the concerts. Their lyrical arts installation will integrate artistically with the music and enhance audiences’ visual experience.

For enquiries, please call Kwai Tsing Theatre at 2408 0128.
