Olympic Games exhibition resumes tomorrow

To let more people know about the Olympic Games, the "Two-year Countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games - Exhibition on Olympic Games" will resume at Kowloon Park tomorrow (September 2) and continue until September 28.

The exhibition, held at the arcade adjacent to the swimming pool complex of the park, is organised by the Home Affairs Bureau and the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and co-ordinated by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

It attracted 30,000 visitors during the first exhibition period between August 6 and August 20.

The exhibition will open from 9am to 9pm daily. Admission is free.

The exhibition panels feature a brief introduction to the Olympic Games, the 28 Olympic summer sports, the achievements and highlights of Chinese and Hong Kong athletes in the previous Games and the preparation for the 2008 equestrian events to be held in Hong Kong.

The story of the Olympics will also be told on video, and footage of Chinese and Hong Kong medallists will be shown.

Visitors are welcome to use the computer kiosks installed at the exhibition to surf for information on the Beijing Olympics, the 2009 East Asian Games and related websites.

Not to be missed are the Olympic memorabilia on display, such as mascots, first day covers and pins.

Ends/Friday, September 1, 2006
