Red flag at Cafeteria New Beach in Tuen Mun District lowered

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (August 26) that the red flag hoisted at Cafeteria New Beach in Tuen Mun District has been lowered.

The lowering of the red flag followed the advice by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) that the water quality of the beach is now suitable for swimming.

The red flag was hoisted on August 23 due to the water quality was classified by the EPD as Grade 4 and it was not suitable for swimming.
