Operators sought for Arts Fun Fair stalls at Lai Chi Kok Park

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting individuals and subvented nonˇVgovernmental organisations to apply to operate stalls in Phase VIII of the Arts Fun Fairs at Lai Chi Kok Park.

The new round of the Arts Fun Fairs will run from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays from October 2, 2006 to September 30, 2007.

There will be 20 stalls at the loggias of Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III) for displaying and selling recreational, art and cultural-related souvenirs as well as pre-packed traditional snacks. Services such as painting, photography, calligraphy and sketching will also be on offer.

Applications will be considered by the LCSD's Arts Fun Fair Stalls Vetting Panel according to the quality and variety of products, food or services provided.

Each successful applicant is required to pay a registration fee of $100 and a deposit of $1,000. The deposit will be refunded upon completion of the contract period on condition that the stall operator's attendance is 60% or above.

Prospective stall owners are also required to deposit a public liability insurance policy of a minimum amount of $6.5 million for the contract period.

Application forms are available at Kowloon Park Management Office, 1/F, 22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon and Sham Shui Po District Leisure Services Office, 7/F, Un Chau Street Municipal Services Building, 59 to 63 Un Chau Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.

Completed application forms should be submitted to Sham Shui Po District Leisure Services Office together with copies of any proof of professional knowledge in respective fields and at least three samples of works or products before 5.30pm on August 23.
