Air-conditioning supply at HK Cultural Centre expected to fully resume tomorrow

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) expects that air-conditioning supply will be fully resumed tomorrow (July 9) at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (HKCC), the Hong Kong Space Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of Art after urgent repair on the air-conditioning sea water pumps of the HKCC.

All activities at the three venues will be held as scheduled. Air-conditioning supply to the restaurants and Marriage Registry will be resumed too.

The breakdown of the sea water pumps this morning (July 8) has affected the air-conditioning supply at the three venues.

Upon urgent repair, one air-conditioning sea-water pump was repaired. Air-conditioning supply started to resume at the Concert Hall of the HKCC at 6.30pm and the evening concert was held as scheduled. The EMSD will continue to carry out the remaining repair works overnight.

Ends/Saturday, July 8, 2006
