Base for Sanshou athletes

Chinese martial art Sanshou athletes will have a dedicated base at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's Lei Yue Mun Sports Centre when a tailor-made training hall is opened tomorrow (June 30).

Covering an area of 300 square metres, the new Sanshou training hall has been converted from a multi-purposes recreational hall of Lei Yue Mun Sports Centre in Lei Yue Mun Municipal Services Building, Yau Tong.

The training hall is equipped with a standard Sanshou platform for free-fight and competition training.

The hall is furnished with punching bags of different weights, speed punching bags and judo mats for training purposes.

The tailor-made training hall will provide a formal Sanshou venue for the athletes and the Sanshou governing organisation.

The Lei Yue Mun Sports Centre opens from 7am to 11pm daily.

For enquiry and booking details, please call 2349 3591.

Ends/Thursday, June 29, 2006
