Live relay of Berliner Philharmoniker from HK Cultural Centre

Concerts by the prestigious Berliner Philharmoniker at the Concert Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre on November 13 and 14, will be telecast live to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza.

The orchestra, under the baton of Chief Conductor Simon Rattle, will perform Berlioz's "Overture Le Corsaire", Ravel's "Ma mere l'oye" and Beethoven's "Symphony No. 3 in E-flat, Op. 55, 'Eroica'" in the first concert, while featuring Haydn's "Symphony No. 86 in D", Ades' "Asyla" and Richard Strauss' "Ein Heldenleben" in the second.

People wanting to attend the live relay of Berliner Philharmoniker concert will be admitted at 7pm. The piazza can accommodate 2,000 people for each concert. Admission is free and on a first-come, first-served basis.

The department has also invited primary and secondary school students to enjoy the live relay through enrolment to the School Culture Day Scheme.

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the two concerts will be held at 8pm on Sunday and Monday, November 13 and 14.
