LCSD invites proposals for Programme Partnership Scheme

Local veteran performing art groups and artists are invited to submit proposals for funding and support under the "Programme Partnership Scheme" to be launched at Sheung Wan Civic Centre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, North District Town Hall, Tsuen Wan Town Hall and Yuen Long Theatre and Tuen Mun Town Hall in 2006-2007.

The "Programme Partnership Scheme" was initially launched by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department in 2002-2003. It is now being extended to five venues in the urban and New Territories areas.

The scheme aims to establish a long-term relationship between the venue management and artists to explore and develop the image and identity of the venues and promote arts education and audience-building in the community.

It also provides artists with space and resources to create new works and explores opportunities for the arts community to become involved in programming.

Two briefing sessions with site visits will be held at 3pm on October 14 (Friday) at Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre and 2.30pm on October 19 (Wednesday) at Tsuen Wan Town Hall.

For details, please refer to the application guides and forms available at Sheung Wan Civic Centre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, North District Town Hall, Sha Tin Town Hall and Tai Po Civic Centre, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, Yuen Long Theatre or Tuen Mun Town Hall.
