Recital by celebrated musicians John Williams & Richard Harvey
One of the most esteemed guitarists in the world, John Williams will join versatile musician Richard Harvey for a duo recital in Hong Kong next month (September).

Williams will show his superb technique in classical guitar, while Harvey will play a variety of musical instruments in the recital including recorders, flutes (Chinese, Southeast Asian, Malagasy), whistles, panpipes, clarinet, mandolin, dulcimer, West Africian thumb piano among others.
John Williams needs no introduction to music lovers. Since his debut at the Wigmore Hall in 1958, he has explored, expanded and personally inspired a modern renaissance for the classical guitar and attained enormous popularity with his voluminous performances and best-selling recordings in the classical repertoire. Williams has a long history of noteworthy collaborations with leading musicians, and his partnership with Julian Bream, Itzhak Perlman, Andrˆm Previn, Cleo Laine and John Dankworth has been particularly fruitful.
Richard Harvey has scored countless television dramas and more than 30 feature films. He has won a British Academy Award for TV music written in collaboration with rock star Elvis Costello and his guitar composition, "Concerto Antico", was recently premiered in concert and recorded on CD by John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra. Harvey is a prolific composer, an occasional conductor and a performer on a vast collection of instruments (more than 700 now) - blown, plucked, keyed, bowed, beaten and "programmed".
