Please broadcast the following special announcement as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced this morning (August 1) that owing to insufficient lifeguards, red flags had been hoisted at Butterfly Beach and South Bay Beach to remind swimmers to heed water safety.

The affected beaches up to now are:

Cafeteria New Beach

Red flags are hoisted at the above beaches to remind beach-goers to heed water safety.

People may call the Government Hotline at 1823 or browse the LCSD's website at http://www.lcsd.gov.hk to enquire about beaches and water sports centres.
