Lifeguard services at most LCSD beaches normal

Attention Radio and TV Announcers:

Please broadcast the following special announcement as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced this morning (August 1) no lifeguard services will be provided at its 8 beaches this morning.

The affected beaches are:

Chung Hom Kok Beach
Repulse Bay Beach
Middle Bay Beach
St. Stephen's Beach
Turtle Cove Beach
Kadoorie Beach
Cafeteria Old Beach
Cafeteria New Beach

Red flags are hoisted at the above beaches to remind beach-goers to heed water safety.

People may call the Government Hotline at 1823 or browse the LCSD's website at http://www.lcsd.gov.hk to enquire about beaches and water sports centres.
