The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is inviting students aged 6 to 14 to enrol in the "Joint School Park Orienteering Training Scheme" organised by the Orienteering Association of Hong Kong (OAHK).

Participants will receive three hours of training in one of the 15 training classes to be held from July 23 to August 20 at Hong Kong Park, Lai Chi Kok Park, Ma On Shan Park and Tin Shui Wai Park. Then they will test their skills in an orienteering competition at Tai Po Waterfront Park on August 27.

During the training class, participants will learn the rules of orienteering competitions, map walk and the use of related equipment, such as compass, marker and punch. Each will receive a certificate and those with outstanding performance will be recommended for further training in the Hong Kong Youth Orienteering Promotion Scheme, after which they will become members of the Junior Squad Team.

Each training class takes 20 students. Enrolment stops one week before each class. The enrolment fee is $30 per person.
