East Asian Games exhibition opens
*********************************
A roving exhibition on the East Asian Games (EAG) opened today (May 9) at Hong Kong Central Library and Yuen Wo Road Sports Centre.
The exhibition is part of the 5th East Asian Games Planning Committee's efforts to enhance the public's knowledge of the Games, which Hong Kong will host in 2009, and ties in with the 2009 EAG Emblem Design Competition launched earlier in March.
It covers the brief history of the EAG, the achievements of Hong Kong athletes in previous EAGs, Hong Kong's successful bid for the 2009 Games and details of the Emblem Design Competition.
The exhibition will extend to two other LCSD venues this week and move to other locations throughout the territory until mid-July.
