Applications invited for Sai Kung youth development camp

Applications are being invited for a four-day camp at Sai Kung aiming at fostering all-round development among youngsters.

The Youth Development Camp organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will be held from March 28 to March 31 at Sai Kung Outdoor Recreation Centre.

By participating in various adventure, mountaineering and sports activities, the campers, aged between 13 and 17, will realise their own potential, thus boosting their development in different aspects.

"Besides enhancing the campers' self-confidence and creativity, special emphasis will be placed on sharing and team-building so that they will learn the significance of communication in wider social settings," an LCSD spokesman said.

A wide range of activities including rope courses, sports climbing, archery, roller skating and various sports games will be offered at the camp.

The fee which will cover meals and accommodation is $233 for each full-time student and $312 for each non full-time student.

Quotas for the camp will be allocated by drawing lots if the applications exceed the 216 places available.

Application forms are obtainable from 18 District Leisure Services Offices and LCSD venues where there are Leisure Link service.

Completed application forms should reach Sai Kung Outdoor Recreation Camp either by mail or by fax.

For enquiries, please call 2792 3828 or 2791 2245.
