City Hall Low Block resumes normal service
The recovery works of the Low Block of the Hong Kong City Hall are nearing completion and the City Hall will resume normal service next month (February).
The City Hall Foyer will resume service from tomorrow (February 1). The opening hours of the foyer are 9am to 11pm.
The Exhibition Hall on 2/F will re-open on Saturday (February 5). The first exhibition "Exhibition of Proposals for the Development of West Kowloon Cultural District" will be held every day from 10 am to 8pm from February 5 to March 28.
During the Lunar New Year holiday, the exhibition will close at 4pm on February 8 (Lunar New Year's Eve) and February 10 (second day of Lunar New Year). It will close the whole day on February 9 (first day of Lunar New Year).
The Concert Hall will re-open after the Lunar New Year holiday. The first concert "Les Six Annual Concert 2005" will be held at 8pm on February 12. Various programmes of the Hong Kong Arts Festival 2005, a Cantonese opera performance for the elderly, a children's folk song contest and some spectacular performances will be held at the Concert Hall in February.
The Theatre, Maxim's Western Restaurant on 1/F and Maxim's Palace Chinese Restaurant on 2/F resumed service in mid-December.
For the opening hours during the Lunar New Year holiday, the Low and High Blocks of the Hong Kong City Hall will close at 5pm on February 8 (Lunar New Year's Eve) and close the whole day on February 9 (first day of Lunar New Year). City Hall High Block will close while the Low Block will open as normal on February 10 (second day of Lunar New Year). High Block Recital Hall and all facilities of the Low Block will open as normal on February 11 (third day of Lunar New Year).
