New Arts Corner at Hong Kong Park
A new round of the Arts Corner project will be launched at Hong Kong Park tomorrow (January 1).
Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the Arts Corner aims to provide recreational and cultural activities for park goers and foster among them an appreciation for the arts.
In the fifth phase of the Arts Corner project, there will be 10 stalls set up at the outdoor area near the Museum of Teaware for sales of recreational, art and cultural-related souvenirs as well as pre-packed traditional snacks. Artisans will also offer services like painting, photography, calligraphy and sketching.
"The previous four rounds of the Arts Corner project were well-received by park goers. This is the main reason for relaunching the fifth round," an LCSD spokesman said.
The public is welcome to visit Hong Kong Park from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from tomorrow to December 31, 2005. Admission is free.
Similar events are being held in Kowloon Park, Lai Chi Kok Park and Victoria Park.
The Arts Fun Fair at both Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park will run from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays until May 29, 2005 while the Arts Corner at Victoria Park will run from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays until March 6, 2005.
Ends/Friday, December 31, 2004
