New Arts Fun Fair at Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park
******************************************************

A new round of the Arts Fun Fair will be launched at the loggias of Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III) on Sunday (December 5).

Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the sixth phase of the Arts Fun Fair aims to provide recreational and cultural activities for park goers and foster appreciation of arts among them in a leisure setting.

There will be 30 stalls set up at Kowloon Park and 20 at Lai Chi Kok Park. In the fun fair a wide range of recreational, art and cultural-related souvenirs and pre-packed traditional snacks will be for sale, while services like painting, photography, calligraphy and sketching will be offered.

"The Arts Fun Fair was well-received by park goers in the past five rounds which were completed in November and this is the main reason we are introducing it again," a department spokesman said.

People are welcome to visit the loggias of Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park(Stage III) between 1pm and 7pm on Sundays and public holidays. The Arts Fun Fairs will continue until May 29, 2005. Admission is free.

Similar events known as the "Arts Corners" are held in Victoria Park and Hong Kong Park.

The Arts Corner at Victoria Park will run from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays until March 6, 2005, while the Hong Kong Park Arts Corner will run from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until December 31.
