Invitations for operating arts service stalls

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting individuals and subvented non-governmental organisations to submit applications to operate arts service stalls at the fifth phase of Arts Corner at Hong Kong Park.

The Arts Corner will run from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from January 1 to December 31, 2005.

There will be 10 stalls erected at the outdoor area near the Museum of Teaware, offering services such as painting, photography, calligraphy, portrait sketching and traditional Chinese crafts.

Interested parties can submit their applications between 9am on December 2 and 5pm on December 13, 2004.

Applications will be considered by the Arts Fun Fair Stalls Vetting Panel in accordance with the quality and variety of services provided. If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the numbers of stalls available, results will be determined by drawing lots.

Each successful applicant is required to pay a registration fee of $100 and a deposit of $1,000. The deposit will be refunded upon completion of the contract period on condition that the operator's attendance is 70% or above.

Each prospective stall owner is also required to deposit a public liability insurance policy of a minimum amount of HK$6.5 million for the contract period.

Application forms are available at Hong Kong Park Management Office on the first floor of Rawlinson House, 19 Cotton Tree Drive, Central, Hong Kong.

Completed application forms should be submitted together with copies of any proof of professional knowledge of respective fields and a maximum of three samples of works to be offered.

Enquiries can be made on 2521 5041.
