5th East Asian Games committee visits Macau
*******************************************

Members of the 5th East Asian Games (EAG) Committee, led by chairman Mr Timothy Fok and vice-chairlady, Ms Anissa Wong, visited Macau today (November 16) to review preparations for the 4th East Asian Games to be held there in 2005.

First stop for the 20 members of the delegation was the Headquarters of the Macau 4th East Asian Games Organising Committee (MEAGOC), where they were briefed by its president, Mr Manuel Silverio, on the progress of the preparatory work.

Later in the morning, the delegation was received by the Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region, Mr Edmund Ho, at the Macau Government House.

In the afternoon the delegation, accompanied by MEAGOC officials, toured various 2005 EAG facilities, including the IPM Multisport Pavilion, Macau Olympic Aquatic Centre, Macau East Asian Games Dome and the Press and Information Centre.

Before concluding the visit, the delegation attended the Inauguration Ceremony of the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion and a five-a-side football match there between Portugal and Brazil.
