Solo dance "Spiritual Girl" to be staged this week

As the conceiver, choreographer and performer of solo dance "Spiritual Girl" which will be staged at 8pm on November 5 and 6, and 3pm on November 7 at the Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre Cultural Activities Hall, Yeung Wai-mei blends yoga with dance, taking the audience on a tour to find inner peace and tranquility

"Spiritual Girl", a dance work for people to enjoy zen and meditation, is one of the programmes of the "New Vision Arts Festival" organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Soul-searcher Yeung Wai-mei, with expressive choreography, will take her audience on a simple but interesting guided tour of spirituality. By examining one's self on the inside and outside, dissolving conflicts in life with care and peace, "Spiritual Girl" instills a natural force inside the theatre and purifies the soul.

Many other talents have contributed to the modern dance work of "Spiritual Girl" which is the product of a talented creative team including video creators Adrian Yeung and Guy Cheung, set designer Ribble Chung, lighting designer Lau Ming-hang and costume designer Ruby Li.

Tickets for "Spiritual Girl" priced at $120 are available at URBTIX outlets. Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens, people with disabilities and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients. Group booking discounts are up to 20% off.

For programme enquiries, call 2370 1044.
