Carnival to mark HK Cultural Centre's 15th anniversary

The Hong Kong Cultural Centre (HKCC) will hold a carnival on November 7 (Sunday) from 2pm to 6pm, to mark its 15th anniversary.

The carnival will feature free entertainment at the open space and foyer of the HKCC.

The entertainment and cultural programmes offered by the HKCC have been enjoyed by Hong Kong residents and tourists since 1989.

At the HKCC foyer, visitors can enjoy flamenco jazz music by the band Red Taurus and hip hop dance, jazz dance and drum jam will inject some more excitement into the show. Not to be missed are "The Story of New Frog Prince -- Magic & Mime" performed by Dimanche, and wushu and tai chi by the Li Fai Centre of Wushu and children's ballet.

Various programmes will also be held at different areas in the open space. Performances of Scottish pipe band marching, traditional British Morris dancing, Latin music, Latin and ballroom dance and a drum jam will be held in the area facing Salisbury Road. In addition, there will be roving clowns, juggling, balloon twisting, games, accordion players and stilt walkers.

Free gifts and souvenirs will be available for those participating in "Know More about the Cultural Centre" game stalls. Enrol to be a "Friends of HKCC" at the foyer on that day and get an extra gift. Other HKCC souvenir collections are also available at special prices.
