Application invited for Arts Fun Fair stalls
********************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting individuals and subvented non-governmental organisations to submit applications to operate stalls at the Arts Fun Fairs Phase VI at Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park.

The Arts Fun Fairs will run from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays from December 5 to May 29, 2005.

There will be 30 and 20 stalls respectively at the loggias of Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III) for displaying and selling recreational, art and cultural related souvenirs, and pre-packed traditional snacks, and offering services such as painting, photography, calligraphy and sketching.

Interested parties can submit their applications between 8.30am on November 1 and 5pm on November 12.

The applications will be considered by the Arts Fun Fair Stalls Vetting Panel based on the quality and variety of products, food or services provided. If the numbers of qualified applicants exceed the numbers of stalls available, results will be determined by drawing lots.

Each successful applicant is required to pay a $100 registration fee and a deposit of $1,000. The deposit will be refunded upon completion of the contract period on condition that the operator's attendance is 60% or above.

Prospective stall owners are also required to deposit a public liability insurance policy of a minimum amount of $6.5 million for the contract period.

Application forms are available at Kowloon Park Management Office, 1/F, 22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon or Sham Shui Po District Leisure Services Office, 7/F, Un Chau Street Municipal Services Building, 59 to 63 Un Chau Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.

Completed application forms should be submitted together with copies of any proof of professional knowledge in respective fields and samples of works or products.
