Modern dance and poetry come together in "lot.us"
*************************************************

Featuring the expressive choreography of Mui Cheuk-yin, honeysuckle sweet vocals of Priscilla Leung, and the climactic score by French composer Frederic Blin, "lot.us" will be staged at 8pm this Friday and Saturday (October 29 and 30) at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre.

"Lot.us" is one of the programmes of the "New Vision Arts Festival" organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. It is an exhilarating montage of dance, sound and music inspired by the vivid and colourful words of leading poet Leung Ping-kwan.

Both Mui and Leung have impressed the critics with their talents. "When you see her (Mui Cheuk-yin) slicing through space with her agile fingers, you would say that grace resided in her very flesh", wrote Le Soir, Belgium. "The performance of Priscilla Leung is a tide that settles into a quiet pool, with the power to pacify ... ," said Young Hay, PS Magazine.

Modern dance work "lot.us" is the product of a talented creative team. Many have contributed to this sublime piece of theatre. They include costume designer Silvio Chan, set designer Ewing Chan, videographer Chris Lau and lighting designer Gabriel Fung. Audiences will be amazed by the costumes, picturesque riverside set, video mirages and dazzling lighting which bring the poems to life on stage.

Tickets for "lot.us" by Mui Cheuk-yin and Priscilla Leung, priced at $100 and $150 are available at URBTIX outlets. Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens, people with disabilities and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients. Group booking discounts are up to 20% off.
