Kowloon Park indoor swimming pools to reopen on Monday

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (September 11) that the indoor pools of Kowloon Park Swimming Pool will reopen on September 13.

The indoor pools include the main pool, leisure pool, diving pool and training pool.

A spokesman for LCSD said that repeated tests by departments concerned proved that the water quality of the indoor pools was up to hygiene standards and suitable for swimming.

"We shall conduct an additional round of thorough cleansing work of the pool compound on Sunday (September 12) before it is reopened for public use at 6.30 am on September 13," he added.

Starting from September 21, Kowloon Park Swimming Pool will be closed every Tuesday afternoon for thorough cleansing.

Ends/Saturday, September 11, 2004
