Red flags lowered at three beaches in Southern District

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (September 10) that red flags which were hoisted at Turtle Cove Beach, Stanley Main Beach and Hairpin Beach in Southern District on September 7 and 8 due to the sighting of red tide have been lowered.
The red flags were lowered following the advice of the Environmental Protection Department that the beaches were now suitable for swimming.
