Two beaches in Sai Kung re-opened

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (September 6) that Clear Water Bay First Beach and Clear Water Second Beach in Sai Kung had been re-opened with lifeguard service operating from 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays and from 8 am to 7 pm on weekends and public holidays.

The re-opening followed the advice of the Environment Protection Department that the beaches are now suitable for swimming.

Red flags were hoisted at Clear Water Bay First Beach and Clear Water Second Beach on September 3, 2004 in view of the sighting of red tide.
