LCSD statement

In response to a TV report today (August 30) about blood worms found in Tai Wan Shan Swimming Pool, a spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) said:
"Water samples sent for tests proved that the water quality there was up to standard. There is no evidence that blood worms were bred in the pool."
"Investigations conducted by LCSD on blood worms in some public swimming pools are still underway and findings will be announced as soon as when available."
