LCSD welcomes shelving of industrial action

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department today (July 23) welcomed the Hong Kong and Kowloon Life Guards' Union's decision to shelve the industrial action it had considered taking next week.

A spokesman for the department said: "We will meet representatives of the union on Monday (July 26) to resume discussions on matters of concern.

"We are always prepared to maintain communication with the union and hope that the problem can be solved through constructive dialogue," the spokesman added.
