Enjoy free Summer Fun Party this Wednesday and Thursday
*******************************************************
A fun-filled Summer Fun Party will be staged inside and outside Queen Elizabeth Stadium this Wednesday and Thursday (July 14 and 15) afternoon. Featuring sports, arts and entertainment, the free party will provide plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
Summer Fun Party, part of the summer spectacular International Arts Carnival organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will run from 4.30pm to 7.30pm on July 14 and from 2pm to 7.30pm on July 15.
The first floor of the stadium will have the "Summer Cool La La" zone, featuring a magic show and story corner. Children will love the fairytales of Hans Christian Andersen and the magician's tricks.
The "Summer 1, 2, Cheers" zone in the basement comprises two programmes: "Let's Show Off" and the "Crazy Bouncer". "Let's Show Off" features a variety of programmes, including a children's choir, woodwind ensemble performances, a clown, a magic show, the drama "Animal Olympics" and a rope-skipping demonstration. Children can let off some steam in the giant inflatable "Crazy Bouncer".
Summer Fun Ambassadors will walk around the party site offering face painting while roving characters dressed in different costumes will entertain carnival-goers. A special marching band performance will be added to the party on the evening of July 14.
