Arts Corner at Hong Kong Park invites stall operators

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting individuals and subvented non-governmental organisations to submit applications to operate stalls during the Phase IV of the Arts Corner at Hong Kong Park.

This phase of the Arts Corner will run from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from July 1 to December 31.

Interested parties can submit their applications from tomorrow (June 5) to June 14.

A total of 10 stalls will be set up at the outdoor area near the Museum of Teaware in Hong Kong Park, offering services such as painting, photography, calligraphy, sketching or Chinese traditional arts and craft.

The applications will be considered by the department's Arts Service Stalls Vetting Panel according to the quality and/or variety of services provided.

If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of stalls available, the allocation of the stalls will be determined by drawing lots.

Each successful applicant is required to pay a registration fee of $100 and a deposit of $1,000. The deposit will be forfeited if the stall operation attendance is less than 70 per cent or when the agreement is terminated due to failure in fulfilling the agreement terms.

Application forms are available at Hong Kong Park Management Office, 1/F, Rawlinson House, 19 Cotton Tree Drive, Central, Hong Kong.

Completed application forms should be submitted together with copies of any proof of professional knowledge in respective fields and samples of past products of arts works to the office before 5pm on June 14.

For enquiries, please call 2521 5041.

Ends/Friday, June 4, 2004
