Arts Fun Fairs invitation to stall operators
********************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting individuals and subvented non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to submit applications to operate stalls during the fifth phase of the Arts Fun Fairs at Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park.

The fifth phase of the Arts Fun Fairs will run from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays from June 6 to November 28, 2004.

Interested parties can submit their applications between April 26 and May 10.

There will be 50 stalls each at the loggias of Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III) for displaying and selling recreational, art and cultural related souvenirs, pre-packed traditional snacks, and offering services such as painting, photography, calligraphy and sketching.

The applications will be considered by the department's Arts Fun Fair Stalls Vetting Panel according to the quality and/or variety of products/food/services provided. If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of stalls available, results will be determined by drawing lots.

Each successful applicant is required to pay a registration fee of $100 and a deposit of $1,000. The deposit will be refunded upon completion of the contract period on condition that the operator's attendance is 60% or above. If not, the deposit will be forfeited. They are also required to deposit a public liability insurance policy for the contract period.

Application forms are available at Kowloon Park Management Office, 1/F, 22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon or Sham Shui Po District Leisure Services Office at 7/F, Un Chau Street Municipal Services Building, 59-63 Un Chau Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.

Completed application forms should be submitted together with copies of any proof of professional knowledge in respective fields and samples of past work or product samples to the aforementioned offices on or before 5pm on May 10.

For enquiries, please call 2724 3344 (Kowloon Park) or 2386 0945 (Lai Chi Kok Park).
