Local percussionists to star in cross-media shows
Two promising local percussionists, Lung Heung-wing and Chin Kwok-wai will appear in the musical theatre performance, "Vibration in Stillness", next month (April, 2004).
Three shows will be held at 8pm on April 16 and 17 (Friday and Saturday) and at 3pm on April 18 (Sunday) at the Studio Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
"Vibration in Stillness" is a powerful and sensuous stage show combining percussive music and dance.
Joining the two percussionists will be producer and choreographer Allen Lam; violinists Leung Kin Fung; vocalist Katusha Tsui; and dancers Mike Wang, Tso Po Lin, Rachel Yip and Cara Ho.
The performances are presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
Tickets priced at $140 are available at URBTIX outlets. Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens, people with disabilities, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets for students and CSSA recipients available on a first-come, first-served basis). For purchases of full-price tickets, the following discounts apply: 4-9 tickets, 10%; 10-19 tickets, 15%; 20 tickets or more, 20%. A 10% discount is offered to Friends of LCSD performing venues. A meet-the-artists session will be held after the performance on April 17 (Saturday).
