Arts Fair at Cultural Centre kicks off tomorrow

A new round of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre's "Arts and Crafts Fair" kicks off tomorrow (February 1) and runs until June 30, 2004, with 96 stalls providing a wide variety of arts and craft services and products.

Fifty handicrafts stalls will operate in the afternoons on Sundays and selected public holidays during the arts fair period selling a wide variety of hand-made craftworks such as crocheting, knitting, Chinese knotworks, clayworks, floral arts, wire-twisting, pottery, glassworks, woodcarvings, sand-pictures and origami.

There will be 46 service stalls - 20 photography stalls and 26 painting, sketching, calligraphy and silhouette cutting stalls - offering daily service to visitors.

Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre "Arts and Crafts Fair", aims to provide a forum for artists to demonstrate their skills and to enhance the centre as an ideal place for the local community and tourists to create their own artistic experience.
