Figures of litter collected at Cultural Centre after fireworks display

1.5 tonnes of litter were cleaned up and collected at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (HKCC) 30 minutes after the Lunar New Year fireworks display finished tonight (January 23), among which 1 tonne was collected from the rubbish bins and 0.5 tonne collected from the ground.

A Leisure and Cultural Services Department spokesman said, "There was a decrease of 3.5 tonnes as compared to the total of 5 tonnes collected during last year's Lunar New Year fireworks display."
