Book donations requested for charity sale

From now until February 20, members of the public can donate used books for a charity sale being held on February 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday).

Donations may be made at all public libraries, except mobile libraries. Adult and children's books on general subjects will be accepted, but magazines, primary and secondary school textbooks and exercise books will not.

The Book Donation and Sale Campaign is organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Home Affairs Department, the Hong Kong Housing Authority, Hongkong Post, the Community Chest of Hong Kong and the Agency for Volunteer Service.

The campaign aims to promote reading and encourage book sharing. All books will be sold for $5 each, with the proceeds donated to the Community Chest of Hong Kong.

Sales will take place from 10am to 6pm on February 21 and 22 at the Hong Kong Central Library Exhibition Gallery; the Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre, Atrium, 5/F; and the Yuen Wo Road Sports Centre Main Arena.

For enquiries, please call 2921 0221.
