Book Donation & Sale Campaign 2004 promotes reading, book sharing and charity

The Book Donation & Sale Campaign 2004 is coming. Don't miss this opportunity to combine the pleasures of reading, book sharing and helping the needy.
The campaign is a joint programme of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and its Hong Kong Public Libraries section, the Home Affairs Department, the Hong Kong Housing Authority, Hongkong Post, the Community Chest of Hong Kong and the Agency for Volunteer Service.
It aims is to promote reading and encourage book sharing. All books will be sold for $5 each, with the proceeds donated to the Community Chest.
Members of the public may donate books to the campaign at all public libraries, except mobile libraries, from tomorrow (January 2) until February 20. Adult and children's books on general subjects will be accepted, but primary and secondary school textbooks, exercise books and magazines will not.
The books will be on sale on February 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday) from 10am to 6pm at the following venues:
1. Exhibition Gallery, Hong Kong Central Library -- G/F, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong;
2. Atrium, 5/F, Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre -- Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre, 5/F., 23 Yuk Wah Street, Tsz Wan Shan, Kowloon; and
3. Main Arena, Yuen Wo Road Sports Centre -- 8 Yuen Wo Road, Shatin, New Territories
