East Asian Games Bid Committee makes case to host 2009 games tomorrow

The Bid Committee for the 5th East Asian Games will present Hong Kong's case before the East Asian Games Association tomorrow (November 2) at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Macau.
The presentation will be made by Hon Timothy Fok, who is chairman of the bid committee as well as president of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China; and Ms Anissa Wong, deputy chairman of the bid committee and Director of Leisure and Cultural Services.
They will highlight Hong Kong's well-developed infrastructure, world-class sports facilities and venues, and cosmopolitan community.
An exhibition which showcases Hong Kong's geographical and economic advantages and its extensive experience in holding international events is being held on the third floor of the Macau Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
The exhibition is open to the public as well as members of the East Asian Games family from 2pm to 6pm today (November 1) and tomorrow and additionally from 8pm to 10pm tomorrow.
The East Asian Games Association will announce the host city of the 2009 Games at the Macau Tower at 10.30am on Monday (November 3).
