Lifeguard services provided at 14 LCSD's beaches in November

Lifeguard services will continue at 11 beaches in the urban areas in November, from 9am to 6pm daily, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department said today (October 29).

The 11 beaches are Repulse Bay Beach, Deep Water Bay Beach, Middle Bay Beach, South Bay Beach, Chung Hom Kok Beach, St Stephen's Beach, Stanley Main Beach, Hairpin Beach, Shek O Beach, Turtle Cove Beach and Big Wave Bay Beach.

With the exception of Deep Water Bay Beach, lifeguard services will be suspended at these beaches from December 1 until the end of February next year.

Lifeguards at Deep Water Bay Beach will continue to serve the public from December 1 until the end of February next year between 8am and 5pm daily.

With regard to the beaches in the New Territories, lifeguard services will be provided at Clear Water Bay Second Beach, Silverstrand Beach and Golden Beach from November 1 until the end of March next year between 8am and 5pm daily.

The lifeguard services at the department's other 18 beaches in the New Territories will be suspended from November 1 until the end of March next year.
