LCSD makes facility booking and programme enrolment easier still

Members of the public may now book leisure facilities and enroll in recreation and sports programmes of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) through telephone and on-line simply by using their Hong Kong Identity Card numbers.

Members of the public no longer need to register as LCSD Leisure Link patrons in order to use the telephone and on-line services for facility booking and programme enrolment.

The change is part of the continuous effort of the department to provide more convenient booking channels and better service to the public.

"The enhanced computerized booking system allows the public to use either their Hong Kong Identity Card numbers or Leisure Link registration numbers for direct access to the telephone or on-line services to make bookings," said a spokesman for the department.

"Existing Leisure Link patrons will not be affected by the new arrangement and those who wish to register as patrons of Leisure Link may still do so."

The LCSD telephone booking hotline is 2927 8080, which operates from 7am to 9pm everyday. The on-line booking service is available 24 hours a day at the website of ESD life at www.esd.gov.hk.
