LCSD manpower deployment during Mid-Autumn Festival

In response to media enquiries on the manpower deployment during the Mid-Autumn Festival, a spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department gives the following reply:

"On September 10, 11 and 12, 2003 about 1 000 staff of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department were deployed to patrol major leisure venues every night and take law enforcement action. Major venues like Victoria Park and popular beaches were patrolled by staff overnight."
